Wireless USB Flasher

Flash firmware to the ncSender Wireless USB directly from your browser. Requires Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (v89+) — the tool uses the Web Serial API.

Activation & your Installation ID

Each Wireless USB must be activated with an Installation ID in ncSender before it will relay. If you bought a pendant in the first batch, you should have received an email containing the Installation ID for your Wireless USB as well. Didn't get it? Email support@franciscreation.com.

Updating keeps your activation

This flasher performs an app-only update — it does not erase the device's activation or paired-device list. You can safely flash new firmware versions without re-activating.

Web Serial API is not supported in this browser. Please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (v89+).

Close ncSender before flashing. If ncSender (Desktop or Pro) is running on any computer connected to this Wireless USB, it holds the serial port open and the flash will fail to connect. Fully quit ncSender — or unplug the Wireless USB from the other machine — before continuing.

Boot mode instructions

1. Press and hold the BOOT button on the Wireless USB.
2. While holding BOOT, plug the Wireless USB into your computer's USB port.
3. Continue holding BOOT for ~1 second, then release. The device is now in flash mode.

The last update you need this tool for. v0.3.5 teaches the Wireless USB to update itself, so from here on you update it — and every accessory paired to it — from ncSender / ncSender Pro under Accessories. No more BOOT button, no more unplugging. Flash this one over USB, then put the tool away. Also required for wireless firmware updates: on v0.3.3 and older the Wireless USB resets itself partway through an over-the-air update, so pendant / AutoDustBoot / Smart RGB LED updates stall and never finish. Pendant + AutoDustBoot + Smart RGB LED on the same Wireless USB. App-only update that keeps your activation. A Wireless USB must be activated with your Installation ID in ncSender before it will relay.
